About Castro Valley Veterans Memorial:

Veteran post members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), Post 9601, Castro Valley, California have for many years wanted to have a Veterans Memorial in Castro Valley to honor and remember Military Veterans from the Castro Valley area and other local communities.

After many years of planning, designing, and collecting donations this dream has come true. With the hard work of the CVVM Committee, other veterans, generous civilians, the donation of land by HARD, plus local business donations of money, materials and labor an elegantly beautiful Veterans Memorial was finally built in Castro Valley, CA and dedicated on Veterans Day, Sunday, 11 November 2012, at 11AM.
